Portal Features

MENTORED Testbed Home Page

When you access https://portal.mentored.ccsc-research.org/, you will be taken to a home screen that contains several cards with relevant information. This information includes news about the testbed, a link to this tutorial, and below, a carousel with details about running experiments. Below the carousel, you will find another carousel with a list of experiments with important details about each experiment. The dashboard looks like this:

Looking at the portal's home page, we can highlight some important details that will be constantly present:

  • In the portal header, there is a shortcut to notifications, information about the user's username and email, settings, and the logout button.

  • In the sidebar, which is where the navigation between the functionalities of the portal is performed, you can access the home page, projects, make project requests, view Cluster information, and access settings.

  • On the footer of the page are located the logos and redirects to the partner institutions of the MENTORED Project, as well as the portal translation buttons - since it has both Portuguese and English support. On the right side of the footer are the project's funding institutions.

On the projects page, you can view the projects you are part of in the My Projects section, and you can view public projects in the Public Projects section.

On this page, you can view the information of each project such as project leader, email, project description, project website, etc. If you are a project leader, you will be able to take actions related to the project, at this moment, the possible actions are request for deactivation and activation of a project which is sent to the administrator for approval.

Project Details

When accessing a project that you are part of, you will access the experiment definition page containing exclusively the experiments defined for the selected project. The same happens when accessing a project from the list of public projects, but with restrictions. In this case, you will only be able to view the experiment definition and the results of each execution.

When accessing the experiment definition page of a specific project, you can start setting up your own experiment.

On this page, you will find a list of all experiments previously defined for this project. This allows you to have an overview of existing experiments and access the specific settings of each one. To learn more about how to set up a new experiment, visit the Experiment Definition page.

Members Page

On this page, accessible from the experiment definition page, you can view all current members of the selected project. Additionally, important information about each member is displayed, such as their username and role in the project.

You can also view more details by clicking 'View' next to a specific user, which will display additional information, such as their contact email. If you have the role of Project Leader or Project Manager, you will be able to change the roles of other members with lower hierarchy.

With these roles, you will also have the ability to invite new members to the project via their email or even remove them from the project.

Add Member

A notification will be sent to you. Once you accept the invitation, you will be added to the project with the role of Experimenter. If you have the role of Project Manager or Experimenter and wish to leave the project, simply click on the corresponding option in the "Remove" column. On the experiment execution page, you have the possibility to request a new run of the defined experiment.
