First Steps¶
This guide will help you get started with an account on the site and creating a project.
Step 1: Creating an Account on MENTORED Testbed¶
After accessing the portal, you will find the home screen. In the center of the screen, there will be available login options. When you access the platform for the first time, you will be redirected to the registration form. If your institution is a member of RNP (most research and teaching institutions in Brazil are part of it), or if you have a Google account, you can register with your institutional credentials through federated login, or Google through social login.
When your registration is complete, follow the instructions sent by email, and wait until an administrator accepts your registration.
Step 2: Login to MENTORED Testbed¶
Once your account has been approved, you will be able to log in to the platform. To do so, go to the home screen, log in, and you will be redirected to the main screen of MENTORED Testbed. If you have any questions about how to log in, please visit the How do I log in? page.
Step 3: Request a Project¶
To access the MENTORED Testbed features, you need to be associated with a project, either by your own creation or by the allocation of the responsible researcher.
To create a project, you need to fill out a project request form. Once filled out, the administrators of MENTORED Testbed will evaluate your request, and accept it if it complies with the platform's rules.
Step 4: Start Using MENTORED Testbed!¶
After having your project request accepted, your project will be created assigning you the role of Project Leader. At this moment, in addition to defining and executing experiments, you can invite new users to participate in your project.
If you want to participate in an existing project of MENTORED Testbed, the project leader will have to invite you so that your account has access to the project. After accepting the invitation to participate in a project, the role of Experimenter is delegated to you.
By following these steps, you will be ready to take full advantage of all the features the MENTORED Testbed offers. With your account created and a project selected or created, you can start designing and running your own experiments. Great job!
